Is there a truly rubbish Blondie song? Maybe the dodgy album they did after Parallel Lines contained a duffer or two...
I like most of the mentioned tunes but the crashing drums on Union City Blue always make me very happy.

Harry's voice is astonishingly flawless. Sounds even better than the studio version.

Going to see Debbie Harry and Chris Stein talk about the career of the band from their CBGB roots forward, at The Cheltenham Literature Festival in October.
To be honest, while I now think ParalIel Lines is a great album from those days, I was never a big fan and only bought it some years later. Never saw them live in their pomp either, but looking forward to the event in October...

Debbie Harry is the name her adoptive parents gave her when they took her at 3 months.
She was born Angela Tremble.
Was always impressed that when they stopped the first time as Blondie she spent years looking after Chris Stein who got very sick even though they weren’t a couple any more.
